Former Chief Studio Officer at SEGA Europe Tim Heaton joins XR Games as Non-Exec Director

Leeds, UK, Mar. 18, 2023 – XR Games has welcomed Tim Heaton as its newest Non-Executive Director. With over 30 years in games, Tim has established himself as a prominent figure within the gaming industry, and is now eager to bring that wealth of expertise and experience to XR Games.

Heaton's previous roles include working as Chief Studio Officer at SEGA and Studio Director at Creative Assembly, the developer behind acclaimed titles such as the Total War series. His wealth of experience and industry insights will make him a valuable addition to XR Games, a studio going from strength-to-strength following its hit title ‘Zombieland: Headshot Fever’ on Meta Quest, Rift, Steam and PlayStation VR2.

XR Games has established itself as a key player in the VR gaming industry, recently announcing ‘Zombie Army VR’; a title it is developing in partnership with AAA game studio Rebellion. Following titles such as ‘Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded’ on PS VR2, ‘Zombieland: Headshot Fever’ on Meta Quest, ‘ForeVR Pool’ and ‘ForeVR Cornhole’ for ForeVR Games, the studio is also currently working on two unannounced games; one for a AAA games studio, and another for a Hollywood movie studio.
